100% of the criteria are reviewed in the first year, dropping to 50% of the criteria in the following two years of the cycle.

Grupo PIASA: Scaling Verified Sustainability in Mexico
Grupo PIASA, one of Mexico’s largest sugar producers, became the country’s first mill to join the VIVE Programme – demonstrating how VIVE can align with industrial-scale supply chains in Latin America. With three major mills and over 14,000 growers, PIASA is using VIVE to build traceability, efficiency, and ESG credibility into its sourcing and operations.

MSF Sugar: Aligning Local Practice with Global Standards
As the first Australian sugar mill to join VIVE, MSF Sugar is bridging regional sustainability efforts with global buyer expectations. Through alignment with Smartcane BMP, Queensland’s farm-level best practice initiative, MSF is now able to demonstrate fully verified sustainability – from field to export.
This case shows how VIVE complements existing initiatives and builds value across the supply chain. For MSF, it means stronger traceability, enhanced market access, and recognition from buyers seeking responsibly sourced, end-to-end verified sugar.
