We are delighted to share that Carlsberg Group has joined the Buyers Supporting VIVE (BSV) community – a network of over 100 agri-commodity and ingredients buyers who are committed to advancing sustainable procurement in their supply chains. In joining BSV, Carlsberg is demonstrating the recent strengthening of its commitment to responsible and sustainable sourcing. Through this commitment, Carlsberg aims to drive improved environmental and social practices within its agricultural supply chains, while supporting farmers in transitioning to more sustainable and regenerative production methods.

Engaging with VIVE will help Carlsberg accelerate towards their recently updated sustainability ambitions, including its Climate and Nature* commitments. Carlsberg has set a 2032 target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from raw materials by 36%, with 50% of raw materials sourced from farms implementing regenerative agriculture practices. Achieving this requires close collaboration with suppliers, and industry experts, to build roadmaps for transitioning to low‑carbon and regenerative production systems.

By recognising VIVE as a credible and scalable route toward these goals, Carlsberg is signalling a clear direction of travel to supply chain partners. In becoming a BSV, Carlsberg recognises the value in collaboration with VIVE to work directly with suppliers especially to increase visibility and traceability across the supply chain, understand future production system challenges, and identify practical, farmer‑led pathways to improvement.

Together with Carlsberg and its suppliers, we look forward to contributing to more resilient, transparent, and sustainably managed agri-commodity supply networks that deliver meaningful, long‑term impact.
